SofTec® Lumbo
Following an injury or condition of the lumbar spinal column, vertebral displacement (spondylolisthesis) or sacroiliac joint dysfunction (SIJD), mobilization of the muscles of the back can be promoted with varying degrees of intensity using the modular orthosis SoftTec® Lumbo. Individual components of the orthosis can be added, replaced or removed as required. These adjustments can even be made while the user is lying in a hospital bed.
Easy fitting for the patient without considerable effort thanks to the Low Power Tension tension straps. Giving the patient maximum comfort.
- For three-phase back treatment
- Individually adjustable
- Easy to put on and adjust
The modules used during treatment continue to be made available even after the orthosis is downgraded, thus allowing further upgrading of the system with CFR rods or the half-shell according to the indication.
INDICATIONS
- After stabilizing operation (e.g. spondylodesis)
- After lumbar disk surgery

- Spondylolisthesis, spondylolysis
- Facet syndrome
- Lumbar spinal stenosis

Mode of action-Multifunctionality
The modular design of SoftTec Lumbo permits controlled treatment according to an individually adaptable 3-stage regimen.
Stage 1 (Stabilisation phase):
For effective post-operative or initially conservative, stabilisation of vertebral body segments S1 to L4 (“Short”) or S1 to L3 (“Long”), the orthosis is used together with the shell.
Stage 2 (Mobilisation phase):
During the initial stages of mobilisation with progressive rehabilitation, the shell is removed and the textile element in the affected lumbosacral area is reinforced with CFR rods.
Stage 3 (Activity phase):
As patients become increasingly active, the CFR rods are replaced by corset rods, thereby reducing the external supportive effect.
