The Pectus Pro-S Brace has been designed to allow lateral adjustment of the front panel, and back panel, for patients presenting Asymmetric Pectus Carinatum. The following instructions will guide you through the process of adjusting the brace’s settings to maximise its lateral range. First, identify the different components of the Pectus Pro-S Brace.

1. Loosen the sternal and posterior adjustment screws to increase or decrease the circumference, and/or to adjust the front panel for asymmetric Pectus Carinatum.
2. Slide the components to the desired circumference/position and re-tighten using the included hex key.
3. The metal parts can be contoured with the use of bending irons. Care should be taken not to make sharp bends in slotted areas.
4. Fit the orthosis and tighten to the desired tension using the ratchet buckles. Secure the optional shoulder straps with the hook and loop fasteners to prevent displacement of the orthosis, and verify the fit. The shoulder straps can be removed if not required.

5. To remove the orthosis, push down on the release button in the centre of the buckle and remove the strap. It is recommended to only remove the orthosis by loosening one side.
The Pectus Pro-S brace is supplied in a symmetric configuration with the Front and Back panels adjusted at the centre. For patients with an asymmetric presentation, with one side of the chest pushing out further than the other, the Front panel can be adjusted laterally by following the below incremental configurations.

Maintenance
Maintenance It is recommended that a snug fitting under shirt be worn between the skin and the orthosis. The brace should be regularly clean by wiping with a damp cloth and handwash the removable pads and straps.
