Hernia Pads
- Inguinal / Indirect Hernia Pad – For a hernia that is only located near the inguinal line and does not descend or drop down
- Scrotal / Indirect Hernia Pad – For a hernia that descends or drops down into the scrotum naturally and an inguinal / direct hernia that may drop down too low
- Femoral Hernia Pad – Specific for women
- Umbilical Hernia Pad – This is for a hernia located around the belly button. It is very common during pregnancy
- Rat-Tail Scrotal / Indirect Hernia Pad – This is a pad with extra length and padding in the tail for a very stubborn hernia that is hard to control or one that drops into the scrotum all the time
Hernia Pads
- For reducible inguinal / direct hernias, pre-operative or long-term use
- Pad is covered in imperial cloth
- Front of the understrap is non elastic and also covered in imperial cloth for comfort
- Conforms to British Standard Specification 3271
- Can also be custom made to special instructions
- Should be fitted initially by a qualified person and checked regularly
- Should be cleaned and replaced regularly for hygiene reasons
