At CozMedix, we are able to supply the Orthotic interventions used for supporting and controlling a hernia.  A hernia is the protrusion of the organs of the abdominal cavity (viscus) or part of the organs, through an abdominal opening in the abdominal wall. The common term is a "rupture". 

A hernia can either be natural (inguinal, femoral, umbilical, para-umbilical) or post-operative (incisional). 

Prior to the supply of a truss or hernia support for the first time, we would require a referral letter from your Doctor or Consultant, stating the type of hernia and other relative information. A full assessment would then be carried out by our "Limited Orthotic Practitioner" who will decide the most suitable type of support. Referals are not always required if you are already wearing a truss.
